I'm on the 5th day on a row with almost zero pain in my back for the first time in a couple years....what does this have to do with you? I will tell you :) It means I am back in the gym busting butt to get back into a shape that I feel is appropriate for my level....3 days in a row at the gym, lead by 3 weeks of clean eating and about 8 weeks of painful chiropractic visits! As I get older, and hopefully wiser, I see the importance of understanding my limits and taking control of the factors in my life I have direct control over. So, even if I can't train at 110%, I will maintain stricter discipline in other areas, such as diet and stretching.
I urge you, the testers, past, present, and future, to take stock of where you have been, where you are now, and where you want to be in the future and use this awareness to ensure you are taking the necessary steps to adjust your training routine in a way that allows you to sustain it into the distant future!
Train smarter, not harder!!
